Lulu Retail’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) has officially launched today, allowing retail investors in the UAE to diversify their portfolios with a minimum subscription of Dh5,000. Running from October 28 to November 5, this significant offering by Lulu Group will see the sale of over 2.582 billion shares, representing a 25% stake in the company. The shares will be listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, with the anticipated listing date set for November 14, 2024.
Anticipated Overwhelming Response
The IPO is expected to garner significant interest from both retail and institutional investors, with analysts predicting that it will be oversubscribed multiple times. Subscription Details
The Lulu Retail IPO features a three-tranche structure to cater to different types of investors:
- First Tranche: 258.222 million shares available for individual subscribers and eligible employees, constituting 10% of the offer share. Each subscriber, excluding eligible employees, is guaranteed a minimum allocation of 1,000 shares, while eligible employees receive a minimum of 2,000 shares. The minimum application size is set at Dh5,000, with additional applications accepted in increments of Dh1,000, and no maximum limit for this tranche.
- Second Tranche: Institutional investors can apply for 2,298,181,441 shares, representing 89% of the offer. The minimum application size for this tranche is Dh5 million, with no maximum limit.
- Third Tranche: A total of 25.822 million shares will be offered for senior executives, accounting for 1% of the offer share. The minimum application size is Dh50,000, and like the previous tranches, additional applications can be made in increments of Dh1,000, with no maximum limit.
How to Subscribe
Investors, including GCC residents and Indian nationals, can subscribe to the IPO through designated banks such as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank, Emirates Islamic Bank, Mashreq, and Emirates NBD. To participate in the IPO, investors must possess a National Investor Number (NIN), obtainable through brokerages in the UAE.
