Emirates to Enhance First-Class Experience with a Lavish Private Lounge, Reopening in June 2025
In a move set to elevate its renowned luxury services, Emirates has announced the temporary closure of its exclusive first-class check-in area at Dubai International Airport (DXB) as it undergoes a significant upgrade. The area will remain closed until June 2025, as the airline creates an entirely new, state-of-the-art private lounge designed to enhance the premium travel experience for its first-class passengers.
During the closure, Emirates first-class travelers heading to the United States and other destinations are encouraged to use alternative check-in desks located at Terminal 3. The airline has reassured passengers that their experience will remain seamless, with check-in desks 54–60 available for flights to the US, and desks 16–20 assigned for all other global destinations.
Once the upgrade is complete, passengers will be able to step through private doors into a spacious and serene environment designed for ultimate relaxation. The luxurious lounge will offer soft sofas, personalized service, and expedited check-in procedures, ensuring that Emirates’ first-class customers enjoy an unparalleled transit experience.
Emirates, which already boasts seven lounges at DXB’s flagship Terminal 3—three for first class, three for business class, and a newly opened Emirates Lounge for all premium passengers—continues to invest heavily in its network of exclusive facilities. This expansion includes recent multimillion-dirham projects at airports outside its Dubai hub, with new signature lounges at London Stansted and Jeddah airports, along with renovations at Paris Charles De Gaulle.
In its 2024-25 first-half financial report, Emirates revealed that it carried 26.9 million passengers between April 1 and September 30, 2024—a 3% increase from the same period in the previous year. This growth highlights the airline’s commitment to offering world-class service and continuously improving its offerings for discerning travelers.
As the airline prepares for the reopening of its exclusive first-class check-in lounge, passengers can expect further updates, ensuring that their future journeys with Emirates are nothing short of extraordinary.
