Strategic Intelligence Platform to Harness Global Expertise and AI for UAE’s Economic and Policy Goals
The UAE government, in partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF), has unveiled an innovative knowledge-sharing digital platform designed to support the ambitious “We the UAE 2031” national vision. The new platform, powered by advanced AI and strategic intelligence, aims to pool insights from 450 global sources and over 2,500 experts, enabling UAE policymakers and government leaders to craft strategies that will strengthen the country’s position as a global economic hub and partner.
The launch of the “We the UAE 2031 Strategic Intelligence” platform took place during the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils (AMGFC) and was attended by prominent figures including Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs and co-chair of the Global Future Councils, and Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the WEF.
A Collaborative Knowledge Partnership for Future Success
The platform is a direct result of a strategic knowledge partnership between the UAE and WEF, formalized earlier this year during the WEF’s annual meeting in Davos. It represents a significant leap in how governments can integrate technology into their decision-making processes to meet long-term national goals.
Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, highlighted the importance of the platform: “By collating vast amounts of knowledge and expertise in a single digital space, the platform will support the development of effective government strategies and policies.” She emphasized that the platform will empower decision-makers and help execute the UAE’s vision of becoming a global leader in economic and policy innovation by 2031.
Strategic Intelligence for a Resilient Future
Olivier Schwab, managing director of WEF, noted the importance of adopting cutting-edge technology in government operations. “By integrating strategic intelligence into the We the UAE 2031 vision, the UAE showcases how advanced intelligence and future-oriented thinking can enhance government capabilities.”
The platform will cover more than 70 key global policy topics critical to the UAE, providing access to a vast array of reports, academic research, and expert opinions sourced from WEF’s partner network. This comprehensive knowledge repository will enable UAE policymakers to make informed decisions on issues ranging from economic growth to environmental sustainability.
Additionally, the platform will serve as a collaborative space where government leaders can share ideas, initiatives, and solutions. This will foster a more cooperative approach to public sector strategy, bringing together thought leaders from government, academia, civil society, and international organizations.
Global Expertise for National Progress
The Global Future Councils, which gathered 500 experts and futurists from 80 countries at the AMGFC24 event, explore opportunities in key areas such as technology and AI, climate action, governance, and finance. These councils represent the world’s leading network for fostering innovation and shaping a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future.
By launching the “We the UAE 2031 Strategic Intelligence” platform, the UAE is positioning itself at the forefront of global knowledge-sharing and innovation. As the nation strives to achieve its ambitious 2031 goals, this platform will play a pivotal role in driving forward-thinking policies and cementing the UAE’s global leadership in addressing complex, interconnected challenges.
