Authorities Investigate Incident as Dubai Residents Express Shock and Concern
In the early hours of Monday morning, a young woman tragically fell to her death from a high-rise building in Dubai’s Business Bay. The incident occurred at Escape Tower, a 38-storey residential building near Sheikh Zayed Road, and was reported at around 5 a.m. The woman’s body was discovered near the RTA car park adjacent to Second Home café, located on the ground floor of the building where she lived.
Authorities were quick to respond, with police and paramedics arriving at the scene and cordoning off the area. Yellow tape stretched from the café to a nearby salon as investigators began their work. Officers were seen speaking with building security and residents to gather more information on the circumstances surrounding the fall.
The woman’s identity and nationality have not yet been confirmed. Her body was covered with a blue tarpaulin and removed from the scene by paramedics at approximately 7:30 a.m.
Distressed witnesses, including nearby residents and passersby, expressed their shock over the tragic event. An Indian resident who was dropping her child off at the school bus recounted the unsettling scene. “It was very disturbing,” she said. “My child asked questions I couldn’t answer.”
Escape Tower is a popular residence for young professionals due to its proximity to the Business Bay Metro Station. Residents of nearby buildings, including Al Batha Tower, reported hearing police sirens during the time of the incident.
As of now, authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. More details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
